The Vineyards

It is right in the vineyard that we try to reach our best results, fully conscious that a great wine comes out of here… A high quality level is therefore our essential goal.

One of the most important factors which we tried to make valuable is surely the ground exposure, which - together with its composition - allows to obtain the best results. The Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera "cultivars" lie for this reason on the best hillsides exposed to the South, South-West and South-East.

The management is directed in such a way as to obtain rich products endowed with very much extract so that during the vinification we got wines full of tannin and dyestuffs. To obtain this it is absolutely necessary to manage the vineyard by making short pruning of the vines, so that some vineyards (especially the oldest ones) do not go beyond the 7-8 buds together with a thinning out of the bunches near the veraison.

The territories which form the vine-growing and wine-producing Company are situated in the municipality of Treiso and Barbaresco.

The grape-harvest is usually made during the three first weeks of October, according to the year's climatic state and always some days before the Barolo harvest. All grape-harvesting is made in small baskets.
